NLL : don't go breaking my heart.

We delayed the news to double-check it and spare you grief, but time has come. So, sit tight and hold your breath : the National Lacrosse League season is cancelled and there is no chance it can be revived, acording to no less than commissioner Jim Jennings.

The negotiations between the League and the players' association collapsed. Sounds familiar?

Well, the figures are a bit different than usual, though : under the expired contract, maximum pay for a veteran player was $21,292 (all figures US as always, meaning it would be even less in loonies).

If a labour dispute is arcound the curve in curling, do not tell me.
