NHL : looking East.

The NHL keeps dreaming about expanding in Europe. The real question may be : will it survive in North America ?

How big is the market of real hockey fans in North America ? As big as Canada; forget about the US.

How big is the market of real hockey fans in Europe, including Russia ? I would guess, a big bit bigger than Canada.

The Russian teams shall not for long limit themselves to wooing veterans like Jagr or third-trio players like Perezhogin.

Why would European players utlimately cross the pond to Canada or the US if they can make more money at home ?

How long will the better -rather than the second-rate until now- North American players refuse to cross the pond to make more money in Europe ?

How long before the NHL returns to its 6 historic teams?
