The Habs pitted Price against Huet, betting the boy wonder would grab the team number 1 goalie position away from the veteran.

What has this well thought out and psychologically brilliant strategy led to ?

Price is now back in Hamilton with a possibly shattered confidence.

Huet has been confirmed as the Habs number 1 goalie exactly at the time he is undergoing his worst stretch of the season, giving at least one bad goal a game.

His shaky number 1 status since the start of the season, while supposedly designed to motivate him : he is physically rested but more exhausted nervously than if he had played all 44 Habs games.

So, what comes next ?

An emergency call to Price for him to speed back to Montréal ?

Halak to be the new savior ?

Huet heating the bench or the press box ?
